Fundraising Home Charity Online

If you're the kind of person who would like to be doing more for others, but doesn't seem to have the time to commit to a fundraising charity, you may be surprised to learn that you're able to participate in fundraising without leaving your seat. Many charities are so keen to obtain help that they're making it easier to get involved through schemes that don't require much from supporters. Let's take a look at some of the easiest ways to make money for a good cause without leaving your home.

Using the Web for Fundraising

If you have a website there are a variety of ways that you can contribute to fundraising without leaving your seat. Affiliate programs are a great way of making money from your website. If you can get some traffic to your site and they then visit another site from yours, you can make money for doing so. You can then use any money you receive and put it towards the fundraising campaign of yours choice. In some instances there are even some direct links to charities that pay the charity a certain amount of money for each person who signs up or visits. There is very little effort required on your part to get involved in such a scheme and usually it only requires a direct link being added to your website. Another way of making money online from home is to get involved in online magazine sales. All you do is promote the magazines and they deal with all the orders and processing. This means that you can be earning money whilst providing a good service to others. You can also set up a simple online donation button that goes direct to your chosen charity. This is easy to do and there are a variety of charity donation systems that allow you to do this. Some of them are:

  • Convio
  • Firstgiving
  • Kintera
  • Network for Good

Another easy way of making money from your seat is by shopping online at any number of charity shopping malls. These shopping malls will donate a percentage of their profits to charity every time someone buys something from them. Again, this means you don't even have to leave your seat to make a difference in the world.

Using Magazines and your Telephone to Support Charity

Many charities now advertise for supporters in their magazines or in nationally circulated magazines. Simply flicking through the newspaper or magazine usually reveals a variety of different charities looking for sponsors. Whether it is World Vision, Oxfam or something entirely different, it's easy to simply fill in the form and send away your donation. If you're not keen to send your information this way through the post, you can call up these charities and donate over the phone. Once you're on their supporters list, you'll have access to more information and regular newsletters about the charity. Always be cautious that the fundraising cause you're going to support is legal and above board. Never donate to a charity whose history you're unaware of.

Using your Television for Fundraising

Every now and again television fundraising campaigns will run on TV and you can use this as your chance to get involved without too much commitment. Many online fundraising causes let you donate over the phone or even through interactive television. There are always plenty of charity adverts on television also and through this you ca contribute to your favourite cause without leaving home. If you have the opportunity to watch local television, you may find that there are charities seeking fundraising support in areas that are closer to your heart. Ultimately, television is a great way of not only obtaining visibility for a fundraising campaign, but is also great at getting people involved.
